HOPE Beaconsfield
After months of planning, HOPE week is about
to begin. During July we will be hitting the
streets to weed, strim, paint, repair, and
generally show God's love through word and action.
With the help of a team from the USA we will be
turning the Baptist Church building into "HOPE
Hub" where the young people of Beaconsfield
can come for DJ's, bands, and loads of other
stuff! Then there's the Fun Day on the 26th and
the guest services on the 27th. In all of this,
however, we must remember one thing: this is all
for the glory of God. In Corinthians Paul says
that words without love are an empty
noise, like a clanging symbol. This week could be
just an empty noise, big events, loads of fun,
but no sign of God - we cannot let that happen.
The vision of this event is to let the people of
Beaconsfield know that there is a hope, and that
hope is Jesus. Let us never lose sight of
that, and never stop coming to God praying that
Beaconsfield would be impacted through what we do
this month.
